Only 20 minutes from Krakow is the Wieliczka Salt Mine. This historic Salt Mine is the only mine in the world where mining has continued since the Middle Ages. It has 9 levels, a depth of 327 meter and is more than 300KM long with 2040 rooms. Since 8th September 1978 it is on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. In the mine you will find creation all made out of salt, for example statues and the beautiful St Kinga Chapel.
Wieliczka salt mines tour
The tour will be with an former mine-worker, who shows and tells you all about the mines. After the 380 steps you will enter a whole new world with gorgeous creations of salt. The route will take 2 hours and at the end of the tour an authentic lift will take you up. After we arrive back in Krakow, you will be brought back to the point where you were picked up.
